I'm Back!!!!

Sorry I was gone for so long but I have had quite a lot on my plate the past 3 years. I got married in August of 2012 and now have a total of 3 beautiful children! We bought a house in July of last year, and have gone threw some financial hard times. My Husband lost his job of 12 years which threw us all for a loop. With baby #3 being due in only 4 weeks we had to make some hard choices. I started working longer shifts to try and make ends meet. Thank the Lord that the day after our little Hadassah made her way in to the world my husband got a call for a job! I had little time to keep up with my crafts and everything else. I am getting back into the swing of things and would like to Praise God for everything he has done to see us thew some tough times. Now that I am back I do plan on trying to do at least 1 post a week if not more. Sorry I was gone for so long and I will do my best to not let it happen again.

With that being said I would like to announce that I am setting up an online shop and will be able to take credit card payments! If you see me at a craft show I will be able to take card payments there as well! Here is the link to my shop http://mkt.com/stacias-crafts come on by and see what I have. Not everything is up yet but I am adding more as fast as I can.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, and I hope you have a blessed day! :)

Arlington Farmers Market!

I set up at the Arlingtom Farmers Market on saturday the 9th! Hade a great time even with the wind trying to make it a bad day. Everyone was having a time trying to keep their display looking nice in 35mph winds. Lots of things getting blown away or down. Strangly enough it took out my jewlery display but left the crochet table alone! About 20 min befor the market closed every one had to pack up. The wind blew over my table for my jewlery and I had to admit defeat! lol. I sold both bears, a pair of blue camo baby booties, and 10 baby bottle keychains. Here are some pics of my set up.

I brought my daughter along with me and she had a blast! She was playing with other kids and all the dogs that she saw. Here are come pics of her playing at the market.

Open House/ Craft show

Ok so I went to set up at an open house/ craft show and it did not go to well. But I did get to met some nice fellow crafters! That helped the time go by a little faster. Here are some pics

I used a fitted bed sheet for the table cover because I loved the color. lol Crafters can make somthing out of nothing. I just started to make jewlery also. I like to take old broken things and give them new life. I will post some pics of that later.

Craft Show!

So I did a craft show at the Sunflower farmers market in Dallas. I had fun while I was there, but getting there and getting home were a different story. on the way there we got lost and ended up having to turn around 3 times! On the way home we got lost and decided to stay on 35 till we found 121. Then we tool the long way home so we would not get lost again lol.
OK now for the show. It was cold and rainy at first and I thought I was not going to make it. But then the sun came out, and the people soon fallowed. then the sun hid behind the clouds and I thought OH NO here we go again. thank God there was only 2 hr. left.
Here are some pics of my setup if you want to see.

Then I thought the clips needed more loving so then I moved them around.

Craft fair

Well I did the craft fair and it was bad. When I say bad I mean I did not sell anything. But there is an up side to the craft fair. I had a vender who sells soaps ask me if I could make her soap savers to sell with her soaps. Wow I guess it is true what they say. There is a silver lining in every cloud. I was going to post pics of my booth but I forgot the camra.

My first crochet project!!!

For my first crochet project I made a scarf. I rember how mad I got cause I had to take it apart like 7 times befor I got it right. I thought I was never going to get it right! LOL. I used Red Heart worst weight yarn and a size 9 crochet hook. I got the hook cause I thought it looked cute. I will never make that mistake agin. Now I use Boye, and Susan Bates hooks. Holding the hook and yarn felt very weird.
Ok so now for how I made the scarf.
chain 16
SC in 2nd ch from hook, work sc to the end. ch 1. turn
scin first sc, sc in every sc to end. ch 1. turn
rep. last row till you get your length just the way you want it. Fasten off. weave in the ends.
Then take and cut 2 pices of yarn about 1' long for each stich.
Insert hook in to first stich.
Hang the yarn on the hook so that it is even, and pull about 1" threw.
Insert hook in to the loop and pull the yarn threw the loop you just made. pull till tight.

Here is what mine look like. Tell me what you think.
